Absentee Voting Procedures
(including Military Voters)
MAY 29, 2012 DEMOCRATIC/REPUBLICAN PRIMARY ELECTIONS
(and any other election held on this election date)
The first day for the Early Voting Clerk to accept your application to vote by mail is Friday, March 30, 2012. Any and all applications for a Ballot by Mail must be received in the Early Voting Clerk's office no later than 5pm on the evening of Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in order to be valid. If received after this deadline, we will be unable to mail the requested absentee ballot.
The applications may be mailed, faxed or hand delivered to the Early Voting Clerk's office until the first day of Early Voting, Monday, May 14, 2012. After Early Voting begins, applications must be faxed, e-mailed or mailed only. Applications delivered by personal appearance once Early Voting has begun will not be accepted.
Voted Absentee Ballots mailed within the United States must be received in the Early Voting Clerk's office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, May 29, 2012. The only exception to this rule applies to military voters who are stationed overseas or out of the country. In that case, we will still accept those ballots as long as they arrive in our office not later than the fifth day after the election.
